This website introduces you to my work. It presents an overview of my professional experience and provides up-to-date information about me and my research.
As a linguist, I focus on language from different perspectives. My interest in language and my passion for languages and cultures have grown over the years and led me to an intensive examination of the structures and the dynamics of language. The main focus of my studies is on the Russian and Polish languages.
I have spent a lot of time in Russia, Kazakhstan, the Ukraine, and Poland where I have worked and completed my research for several projects. As a consequence, I have acquired a comprehensive knowledge in both Slavonic languages – an expertise which has had and continues to exert a great influence on my linguistic research. A first result was my doctoral thesis in which I analysed word formation and neology in contemporary Russian and Polish.
Today, my research focus is on gender and queer linguistics. This is also the topic of my professorial thesis which I am working on.
On this website, you can find a survey of my research – research interests, teaching activities, publication list as well as papers presented at conferences. My CV and further information about me and my current academic position are also provided. Selected publications can be downloaded as pdf documents.
